Leaman-Gunnet Emission Sequence: A study was done using the edge dies to determine the sequence in which Bust Halves were minted. The pre-Turban coins have the sequence for the individual year where available (pre-1805 is not available at current). It is not clear where the rarest 1805 and 1806 coins fit the sequence and subsequently have not been included in the sequence.
Condition Census for Early Half Dollars is based mainly on Steve Herrman's Auction and Mail Bid Prices Realized, but with the modification being I am only going back 10 years, and adding to the top 5 Condition Census coins any information at my disposal that I can find. Just because the Census has a high grade of AU58 does not mean there are none better, rather none better has appeared in the last 10 years. I will attempt to keep the info up to date periodically. If you are interested in pricing information, I do suggest the AMBPR. Prices are not the intent of this site at this time.
