1822 O-104 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar

Somewhat common with a gem at the top of the census and a decent group of MS and AU specimens surviving.
PCGS Graded XF45. A thick coating of olive drab patina adorns this example. Strike is a little mushy in the hair. Quite a bit of luster remains.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars 8 and 13 each about 1/2 mm. from cap and curl. Date is 8 1/2 mm. with slender digits. Center dot on neck.
Reverse- 50C is 1 3/4 mm. and well centered. Arrowheads separated. Arrow to A is slightly less than 1/2 mm. N in UNITED is higher than U or I. Left side of T in line with right side of I.
