1817 O-112 R2 Capped Bust Half Dollar

O-112 R2 below, O-112a R2 at bottom
Readily available in higher grades with an MS65 at the top. This one seems to appear more frequently than other 1817's. The prime die state without cracks seems to be more scarce than the R2 indicates though, not apearing as frequently in higher grades.
Variety Attribution: Obverse- Stars are close to milling. Star 13 is 1/2 mm. from curl. Date is 8 3/4 mm. 7 is wider and higher than 181. Several fine vertical lines in front of throat from jaw line to upper chest.
Reverse- 50 C. is 2 mm. Arrow to A is 3/4 mm. RI in AMERICA joined and base of I is slightly higher than base of R. I is left of T.
O-112: Die crack from olive stem circles through leaves to top of UNITED ST.
NGC Graded AU55: A flashy coin toned Blue, Orange and Brown.Some die clashes present, and an odd row of segments is present near the eye.
