1795 O-109 R4 Flowing Hair Half Dollar

This one is supposed to be an R4 yet examples over AU50 are extremely rare, maybe numbering a total of 4. Most survivors seem to be very low grade, below VF.

Variety Attribution: Obverse-Lowest curl about equal distance from four points of stars 1 and 2. Star 15 is 3/4 mm. from end of bust. Date is 9 mm. with 5 high and distant. A fine horizontal die crack from milling through star 15 to end of bust.

Reverse- 17 Berries, 9 left and 8 right, 2 inside wreath under left wing, 2 inside wreath under right wing. The lower berry on right has a long stem and the upper one is just a small lump. The top inside berry on right opposite OF has a small die defect line extending from it. Twin segments of milling are at left of OF. Center dot on right wing close to body.
