1834 O-119 R4 Small Date, Small Letters Capped Bust Half Dollar

Generally tough to come by in grades above XF. MS64 may be tops.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stair Step Date. Star 1 is 2 1/2 mm. from drapery. Date is 6 3/4 mm. with slender sharp figures that are progressively lower and closer together from left to right, hence the stair step designation. Mouth is slightly open and an ugly curl to upper lip. The most prominent nose to any 1834.
Reverse- 50 C. is 1 mm. and slightly high. The 5 has a small straight top, the loop is nearly closed and it is upright with the 0 leaning toward it. Arrow to A is 1 mm. All letters of UNITED have been recut and shifted right, most obvious on NTED. I centered under left side of T.Sloping die lines are visible under stripes of shield. Straight sloping die line connects two lower pairs of leaves. Spur at top of scroll above B.
