1827 O-122 R5 Capped Bust Half Dollar

Very rarely appearing on the market, this marriage is led by an MS64, which may be the only Uncirculate specimen. AU examples are hard to come by, and many specimens have problems.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Date is a wide 8 1/2mm. and medium low, top of 2 is slightly lower than 187. All.stars are large, star 1 is usually flat and it is 1 1/2 mm. from drapery. Other stars are relatively sharp. Little or no milling and all stars drawn to edge.
Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/2 mm. and low, with a small C, the smallest of this date. Stripes of shield are mostly solid. Arrow to A nearly touch, being less than 1/4 mm. There are straight die defect lines below eagle's head and the left wing. Aa third defect line from lower edge of left wing to olive leaves.
