1834 O-116 R1 Small Date, Small Letters Capped Bust Half Dollar
Obverse: 15
Reverse: P
Common marriage with many high grade examples available.
Raw XF40. I know this one came from Yahoo back around 2000. Has a bit of a ding as you can see, but other than that a decent and honest example. I have included the edge because it is a little bit messed up.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars medium in size and 9 through 13 quite flat. Date small, and a close 6 1/2 mm. Mouth is open and an ugly curl to lips. A wavy outline around end and front of bust.
Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/4 mm. and high. Ball of the 5 is closed to the stand with a small defect. An oblong 0 and small C. Arrow to A is 1/2 mm. Line 3 of stripe 4 penetrates boldly to crossbar 2 and lines 1 and 3 extend well below the shield. Fine die line extends downward toward shield from top of left wing. I centered below left side of T.
