1829 O-109 R4+ Capped Bust Half Dollar

O-109 R4+ Below, O-109a R4+ Bottom, Minted in 1830
This die marriage does not appear often. The 109a die state appears to be more common. Both are likely R5's with the 109 being a 5+ or thereabouts, combining for the overall R4+ rating. A pair of MS64s are at the top of the census.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star1 is 1 mm. from Drapery. Star 13 slightly over 1/4 mm. from curl. Date is 8 mm.and pretty well centered. Die lines evidnet on most specimens between end of bust and edge.
O-109: Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/4 mm. with a small C. and slightly above center. Arrowheads ribbed and well separated. Arrow to A is 1 mm. A strong die line crosses the central branch, joining the upper and lower pair of olive leaves. Straight die line extends from top left serif of F. Die prong from left wing under head.
O-109a: Die crack along the top of UNITED and another top of S OF AM. Tops of all three a's filled at top.
