1827 O-117 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar

A decent group of MS examples top the census, with perhaps the Overton example at MS65 being finest.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 1 is 1 1/4 mm. from drapery and star 13 is 1/2 mm. from curl. Date is 8 mm. and high with large curl and rather thick base in 2, the thin stand nearly broken where it joins base.
O-117: Reverse- 50 C. is 2 mm. and the C is higher than 50. Arrow to A is 1/2 mm.Left side if E, right side of D in line. 5 in 50 is recut at left side of upright. I centered under right side of T.
O-117a: Only a trace of milling remains. A die crack at top of STATE.
