1824 O-108 R2 Capped Bust Half Dollar
Obverse: 7
Reverse: G
O-108 R2 is below, O-108a R2 at bottom
This die marriage has a decent group of MS examples topping out at MS64, but the later die states do not appear as often as the earlier die state, and overall it appears that the R2 may only apply to the early state. This may be one that could be revised to R3 overall. Note that 6 of the 10 high grade examples listed below basically can be taken off the top of the census for high grade appearances, therefore the 108 may require more serching if one wants to obtain a higher grade specimen for their collection.
Former ANACS GradedXF40. Blue and gray toning with a hint of orange. Decent detail with luster remaining in the devices.
