1824 O-106 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar

A very tough die marriage in grades above XF, and there may only be 4 or 5 MS survivors total. I would classify problem free examples XF40 and above as RARE!
Variety Attribution O-106: Obverse-Star 7 nearly touches cap. Star 13 oly 1/4 mm. from curl. Date is a close 7 1/2 mm. and well centered.
O-106a: Sharp die crack from edge across 2 upper points of star 12 to lower ribbon end.
Reverse- 50 C. is 2 1/4 mm. well centered and loop of 5 is nearly closed. Arrow to A is 1 1/4 mm. I is centered under T. line 1 of stripe 4 extends well below border of shield.
