1817 O-111 R1 Capped Bust Half Dollar
Obverse: 8
Reverse: H
O-111 R1? below, O-111a R1? at bottom
This marriage ranks currently as the number 2 toughest R1 Overton Variety, with only 15? MS and AU examples offered the last 10 years, including all die states. Not a whole lot considering 1000 + examples are supposed to still exist in all grades. Lower grade examples to show up with at least some regularity. I updated and I know that there should be more than this making appearances and so I may need to dig a little more. For now this looks like it. Busthalfaddict 11/17
