1830 O-103 R1 Small 0 Capped Bust Half Dollar

Seems to be one of the easiest 1830's to obtain with many specimens in high grade up through MS66.

PCGS Graded AU55. A heavily and deeply toned example that looks almost like a piece of candy. Other than the toning and muted luster, there aren't any marks of note.

Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 1 is 1 1/2 mm. from drapery. Star 13 is 3/4 mm. from curl. Stars have round blunt points. Date is 8 1/4 mm, and slightly low.

Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/2 mm.  Arrow to A is 1/2 mm. Right side of T-I in line. There is a fine die defect line from center arrowpoint to milling. First S in STATES is high and wide. C in AMERICA is punched low in relation to adjacent letters. Line 1 of stripe 2 to second crossbar.

NGC Graded AU53. This one has the CAC sticker. Gray dirt toning and a decent flash of luster. Interesting comparing this one to the one above.
