O-118 R3 below, O-118a R4 bottom
There are many very nice high end examples, including the later die state. The later die state is much more scarce, and perhaps less common than an R4 should be. A couple of MS66's are at the top of the census.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Date is 8 mm. Stars are large, sharp and well formed. Star 13 nearly touches Curl.
O-118:Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/4 mm. and high, with a large C. that is only 1/2 mm. from olive stem. Arrow to A is 3/4 mm. Right sides T-I in line. Words of legend are large and crowded with hardly any space between. Reverse also used in 1829 on O-110.
O-118a: Die crack that joins bottom of 50 C. Another cricles from olive leaves through and around legend from UNIT to AME.
