A common die marriage with specimens available up to MS66. the later die state appears far less than the earlier die state.
NGC Graded AU53. A richly toned original coin with nice surfaces.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 13 is 1/2 mm. from curl. Date is 8 mm., and quite low. Square base 2 small 8's. Mouth slightly open.
Reverse- 50 C. is 1 1/4 mm. and high. 5 is higher than 0 and tipped sharply to left. Arrow to A is 1/2 mm. I is centered under left side of T. Serif of C in 50 C is recut at top.
O-117a: Die crack from edge below left wing tip along top of UNITED STATES OF A to edge above M.
