1827 O-145 R5 Capped Bust Half Dollar

There are a couple of MS survivors with the Newman speciment as finest, and a small group of AU's are also part of the condition census. Still a very tough marriage to obtain, though because of the date, it may be a cherrypick target for the shrewd.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars are all large and sharp. Star 1 a shade less than 3/4 mm. and well centered. Milling sharp. Die line below front of bust and milling.
Reverse- 50 C. is 2 mm. and high. Arrow to A is 1/4 mm. Right side of T - I in line. UN in UNITED solidly attached at top. Stripes 3 through 6 are mostly solid. A number of stripe lines extend into the crossbars. Some specimens show small die defect bumps around 50 C., C in 50 C. is recut at serif.
