1825 O-109 R5- Capped Bust Half Dollar
Obverse: 6 (Second Marriage)
Reverse: I (Second Marriage)
Large "A" variety
A tougher variety that does not appear for sale often, but is available in grades up to MS64, and there is a decent grouping of MS coins as well. This one is listed as an R5 but in truth it may be more of an R5- or R4+.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 13 close to curl. Stars large, mostly flat and close to milling. Date is 8 mm., 82 a shade the closest. 2 has a thick base and a long sharp point to curl. Late state of die shows all stars drawn to edge.
Reverse- 50C is 1 1/2 mm. and rather low. Arrow to A is 1/4 mm. Letters in legend, especially the A's seem extra large, with TAT, AMERI and CA all very close at bases. I entirely left of stand of T.
