1819 O-112 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar

I would bet that this one is tougher in the late die state than an R3, and this die marriage is generally tougher overall. There is a small group of high grade MS examples and only 5 AU's have appeared on the market the last 10 years landing this on my toughest R3 list.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 1 is a scant 1/2 mm from drapery. Star 13 is 1/2 mm. from curl and opposite point nearly touches milling. Date is 9 1/2 mm. and rather low.
O-112: Reverse-50 C. is 2 mm. and low. Arrow to A is 3/4 mm. A defect line joins top serifs of TE in STATES. Left side of I under left side of T.
O-112a: Die crack from edge down across right wing, claw, leaves and under UNIT to ED.
