1817 O-113 R2 Capped Bust Half Dollar

Available in all grades up to MS66. The 113a die state is available in higher grades to MS64.
Variety Attribution O-113: Obverse-Stars large, sharp, and well formed. Star 13 is high in relation to curl diagnosticl. Date is 8 3/4 mm. and about evenly spaced.
O-113a: Die cracks, beginning with one from edge at star 12, through star 13, across lower edge of curl, top of 18 and to edge. Another fine curving crack from inner points of star 7 across cap to inner point sof stars 8 and 9., then curving down into field. A third crack from milling above top of cap and branching into same. A fourth from edge across upper two points of star 12.
O-113: Reverse- 50 C. is 1 3/4 mm. Arrow to A is 1/2 mm. enter dot between crossbars 4 and 5. A horizontal die defect line at lower tip of beak.
O-113a: Die crack through UNITED STA.
