Reltively common variety, but the later die state is likely more common than the earlier state. Slightly tougher in high grades, with a single MS65 likely finest at the top of the census.
PCGS Graded AU53, CAC. Nifty original example with blue-green and gold toning. Multiple clashes present. Decent luster as well.
Variety Attribution: Obverse- Star 13 is 1/4 mm. from Curl. Mouth is open. Date is 9 1/2 mm. with small figures, 81 closer than 18 or 11. A low die defect lump about 3/4 mm. long on neck below ear and a tiny center dot below it. Late die states show very weak milling.
Reverse-50. C is 2 mm. and low. Arrow to Arrow is 3/4 mm. Tiny center dot between crossbars 4 and 5. Arrowheads well separated. IT in UNITED joined at top. AMERI all very close at bottom, with base of A slightly higher than base of M.
O-111a: Die crack from ES to right through OF AMERICA, to arrow points, and across 50 C. to lower pair of olive leaves. Little or no milling.
