4 MS and 8 AU problem free examples have appeared the last 10 years for the 107a. There are several higher grade MS examples out there yet they have been in collections for extensive periods of time. Decent AU's also seem to mainly reside in collections rarely seeing the light of day. Even uncleaned XF examples can be tough
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars are large, sharp and well formed. Date is 9 mm. and well centered. A shallow crescent shaped lump is usually visible at the front of the throat like an adams apple. Rough die lumps visible around 1 and 8 on high grade specimens.
O-107a: A die crack from edge through star 5, crosses head to stars 8 and 9. Two cracks develop below date, one runs left under bust, the other curves up through O, across curls and neck to join the horizontal crack across head.
Reverse- 50 C. is 2 1/4 mm. Arrow to A is 3/4 mm. There are three small centering dots and part of a fourth. near junction of left wing and shield. Two small spike-like defects are at upper edge of scroll between D and S. Arrowheads solidly joined.
O-107a: Die crack through NITED to base of STA, top of scroll and OF. Another from olive stem across leaves to U.
