The finest O-101 known is an NGC MS61 and the finest O-101a is a PCGS MS64, with 4 or 5 known Uncirculated examples total. O-101 is the most common Overton variety from 1794, and the total numer of examples makes the overall rarity rating R3+, therefore the O-101 and O-101a are likely R4's or scarcer to provide the overall rating of R3+ with 200-300 specimens known.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Star 1 pierces lowest curl near center. Point of star 2 and second curl are close, about 1/4 mm.. Point of star 15 joins lower edge of bust. Date is 8 mm., slender, evenly spaced and well centered.
Reverse- O-101: 21 berries, 10 left and 11 right. The only reverse with 21 berries. Most specimens show a die crack from edge to pair of leaves below first S.

O-101a: Die crack from edge through F to leaves turns upward at a sharp angle, just missing the outer berry, it crosses a single leaf and last S in STATES.
