1808 O-109 R3 Capped Bust Half Dollar
Obverse: 9

Reverse: H (Second Marriage)
O-109 R3 below, O-109a R3 at bottom
Early die states seem to have multiple clash marks and is also somewhat more difficult to obtain than the later state with die cracks. Overall an R3, I believe the 109 early die state to be more of an R4 or R5. Oddly, there is a group of 109a's out there that are absolutely hammered with perfect details. An MS67 109a tops the census for the die marriage overall.
Variety Attribution: Obverse-Stars large and sharp. date is 8 3/4 mm., small figures evenly spaced and high. Bottom of L has serrations. A die crack is visible from edge through left side of 0 to bust on most specimens.
